Where are your transcribers located?

Our transcription partners are called SmartDocs. Their transcribers are located all over Australia.

What turnaround can Record Retrieve provide on my transcripts?

Transcriptions are received within 24 hours.

What kind of work do you transcribe?

Any audio file you have in your Record Retrieve portal can be transcribed. You just need to select the options that apply to you.

What kind of notifications will I receive?

You will receive email notifications. The first notification is received when you submit your request. You may receive a query email from the transcriber if they need something clarified. Once the transcription is complete, you will receive a final email notification.

Do you provide translation services?

Our transcribers can process some foreign languages. Special instructions should be supplied by you when the file is submitted.

Do you outsource your work?

We have partnered with a well-known Australian transcription company SmartDocs.

How do I know if you will keep my information confidential?

Record Retrieve takes confidentiality seriously. Our experienced transcription partners understand the importance of confidentiality and we require our transcription partners to sign confidentiality agreements.

How do I pay for the transcription?

If you have a pre-paid account you will be billed when the file is submitted for transcription. Post-paid accounts will be invoiced at the end of the month.

Can you handle large projects?

Since transcription needs often vary for each customer, our transcribers are well equipped to deal with any kind of transcription. If anything is needing to be discussed, you will be contacted.

How do I get a transcription?

When in your portal, find your desired recording, hover over to the “transcription” icon, confirm the cost, and you will receive the transcription within 24 hours.
